Finally ready…

Our new FFL finally came in the mail today! So, we are finally able to open for business. We are going to remain “by appointment only” for the time being. Most of the shop is up and running. The office is coming together fairly well. We are excited and looking forward to meeting everyone. Feel free to contact us via the contact form, email, phone, or feel free to text us.

Thank you to everyone for your support during this transition. We hope to see you again sometime.

Next step… SOT…

South Dakota Location

We finally have our new location secured in Hayti, SD. Our Connecticut location is permanently closed. It will take a little time to get everything set up. There is still red tape, business licensing, and ATF hoops to complete before we can begin servicing our new customer base. We are looking forward to meeting new people and making new friends here. So far, everyone has been very welcoming.

Again, thank you to all of our customers and friends in Connecticut. We will miss you all. We do sincerely hope that one of the other shops will be able to step up and fill the void that we left.

Coming Summer 2023

There is a big change coming this summer. We will be relocating from Connecticut to the Northeast region of South Dakota. We still have several hurdles to clear, and while we may not have an exact date or location, it is time to go. We will certainly miss our CT customers. It has been wonderful meeting and working with all of you. The last four years have been quite the experience and we are very appreciative of all of you.

49 Fox B Progress

Barrels have been cleaned up and blued. There are still two rough spots on the left barrel, but I’m not sure sanding them down would leave enough material to be safe. Wood has been stripped, re-stained, and two coats of oil applied. Still need to do a few more coats. May also clean up the factory checkering. But plate is too small, not sure yet if I will get a reproduction or a Classic Limbsaver. For more pictures, navigate over to our Projects page.

Restoration, Savage Fox B begins

This poor old girl is in rough shape. She was born in 1949 and is looking at a full restoration. I am going to try and take as many pictures as possible so everyone can follow along with her progress.

On a side note, If anyone has any data on the “IRS” stamping and the numbers that follow, please let me know. Thank you.

Hello world!

Welcome to the new Gramberg Firearms website. I don’t know how long it will take to get everything on here up and running in proper order, but I will do my best. I really wanted a site that would more accurately show my work and a place for me to share information with everyone. There are times when I have to do quite a bit of research on a specific firearm or company and I hope to be able to consolidate some of that here as well. If any of you have any recommendations, please feel free to share them with me. Thank you for being here and taking the time to look around.
